About
Ripple Play started as a group chat between three friends who kept sending each other screenshots of games we'd found on our commutes. At some point the notes got long enough that we figured we might as well publish them. So we did.
We're a small editorial team, not a studio and not a marketing outlet. Nobody here is paid to like a game. When we test something, we run it on a mix of phones — an older mid-range Android and a newer flagship — because that gap tells you more than any spec sheet.,We pick games by playing a lot of them and keeping the ones that stick. Sometimes that's a big-name release, more often it's a quiet little thing that nobody wrote about. We care about controls, how the game handles offline, how hot the phone gets, and whether the whole thing respects your time.,Everything you read here comes from real sessions. If we only played twenty minutes, we say so. If we sank a weekend into it, that shows up in the detail. That's the whole deal.
